The Brief:
The point of this assignment was to create a vintage inspired cookbook. My direction was desserts, but the cookbook itself is inspired by what I would see in my mothers kitchen back home. So featured down below is a mock up of what the recipe book may look like and the pages of the recipe book. This project I collaborated with Chat GPT and Adobe Firefly.

The Recipe Book
When creating this cookbook I was thinking of desserts that would be featured in a Betty Crocker cookbook. I got recipe inspiration from the Betty Crocker website and then started creating recipes for delicious sounding desserts using Chat GPT. Then I used Adobe Firefly to find the imagery for each dessert.
Mockup One
I envision the recipe book having a hard cover which would have some worn and torn edges due to it being a cookbook being one that has been around for a while. When creating the book I thought about the old cookbooks that sit in my mothers kitchen that are only brought out once in a blue moon.

The inside of the book truly would be one that is yellowing and having slightly torn edges. It would be one that has definitely been well loved over the years of having it. The pages of the book are truly meant to look old as the book would be one that has sat around for a while. So I found it important to have an old paper texture to the pages. It just helped give that vintage old feeling to the book.
